Entertaining 101- really should be offered in higher education

OAK House 5's first EVER give away!! See below for details.

Everyone knows that OAK House loves a good party…

But the best part of a party, for me, is the dreaming and planning stages. Now, I'v made more than my share of entertaining mistakes along the way but each event I host gets better and better through trial and error. Yes, it can be a tremendous amount of work, but your friends and family are worth it, right? I don't do it on my own, and thank goodness there are some great resources (some of the best ones are free) out there to help me along, here are a few of my favorite go-to spots for entertaining ideas and party etiquette.

~ Kara's Party Ideas

~Party Perfect by Sara Hicks

~Tip Junkie

I also have a nice collection of party planning and entertaining guides to pulling off the best party possible…

My very favorite and, in my opinion, the best resource out there for giving a great party is celebraTORI, by Tori Spelling. I know what you are thinking: That girl from 90210? Yes, and don't be fooled by the name or the jewels this lady has this party thing down and I really like how she goes through all the party do's and do-not's. Great ideas for music and how to keep the room moving and interacting. I have so many party pet-peeves, too many to mention, really and mainly, I don't want to call anyone out. But giving a party is more than just calling a few of your favorite peeps over for popcorn and beer, it's an art form, embrace it, It's a great way to show your friends how special they really are.
